Interview:

The purpose of the personal interview is to allow the judges some insight into the character of each contestant. The judges will be afforded the opportunity to evaluate each contestant’s basic qualities, such as, intelligence, ability to communicate, attitude, composure, etc. The judges may also ask information about the contestant’s professional life as well as their personal life.

The nature of each interview is intended to be casual and relaxed. The suggested attire for personal interview is casual wear, male or female. Each contestant should select clothing in which he feels comfortable wearing.

Talent:

 

Talent presentations are limited to 7 (seven) minutes. They can be as short as you like but none can go over seven minutes from the time the music begins. Contestants having props are allowed a total combined set-up and take-down timeof five minutes. Contestants should ensure that props are as portable as possible. Any combined set-up/take-down times that extend beyond five minutes will have some administrative points deducted. They should be prepared to begin set-up as soon as the contestant prior to them has vacated the stage along with their dancers. No member of the party may enter the stage until the LAST member of the contestant prior has left. Once this last member of the prior contestant has left, your set-up time begins. No talent shall contain any of the following:

Fire
Excessive Glitter
Live Animals of ANY Type
Water
Unwrapped Hay/Straw

Any type of talent is acceptable provided that it does not contain one of the previously mentioned prohibitions or would have the potential to cause injury to the audience of any other person.

The term "Live Animals" is inclusive of any mammal, reptile, amphibian, snake, insect, bird of other living non-human "thing". Most venues are under the guidelines of numerous state and local ordinances and is precluded from having entertainment of this type. Please be respectful and do not attempt to bring any live animal into the performances.

Evening Gown:

 

Evening Gowns may be of any color or style. They must, however, be full length. Evening Gown description cards will be provided at registration.
